What does an asbestos sample mean?
An asbestos sample is a small piece of material taken from a single building material and sent to an asbestos laboratory for analysis. The analysis shows whether the material contains asbestos and which type of asbestos it is.
An asbestos sample suits situations where you want certainty about one particular material - before a small repair job, for example, or when you suspect asbestos somewhere in a structure. It is clearly cheaper than a full asbestos survey covering an entire flat or building.
You can take the sample yourself at home by following the instructions Onelab provides. The laboratory analyses the sample with a JEOL SEM-EDS electron microscope in line with the ISO 22262-1 standard and sends the results to your email.

What our customers say
Wonderfully fast service late in the evening! During the phone call it turned out that my worry about asbestos was unfounded and that no survey was needed. So this company does not push its services on you. Many thanks, and a recommendation for the trust they inspire!

The service was extremely fast. I sent a contact request in the morning and the sampler arrived before noon; the results came by email the next day. The pricing was clear as well - you knew in advance what it would cost. I can warmly recommend them.

Everything was brisk, effortless for me and professional. I chose AsbestiPro on the basis of price and location, and because information was easy to find online. The site surveyed was in Helsinki. Our flat renovation is now finished. Thank you for the survey you carried out.
