Asbestos survey in Kerava

Asbestos was used extensively in Finnish construction from the 1920s all the way up to 1992, when its use was finally banned. In practice, every single building in Kerava completed before 1994 may contain asbestos — in floor adhesives, waterproofing membranes, pipe insulation, tile-fixing mortars or facade panels, for example. The building stock of Uusimaa is highly varied, and the older detached and terraced houses in Kerava represent precisely these high-risk eras. Finnish Government Decree 798/2015 requires an asbestos survey to be carried out before any demolition or renovation work in which structures are opened up. The obligation applies to private homeowners and housing companies alike. A survey protects the health of both workers and residents, and it ensures that the project proceeds lawfully and without nasty surprises in the middle of the job.

Ordering an asbestos survey in Kerava has been made effortless. A competent and experienced surveyor arrives at your property at the agreed time and works through the structures systematically. The surveyor identifies any materials that may contain asbestos and takes the necessary samples from them, in a scope matched to the renovation or demolition ahead. The samples are delivered to the OneLab laboratory, where they are analysed with a precise JEOL SEM-EDS electron microscope in accordance with the ISO 22262-1 standard. This analysis reliably identifies the different types of asbestos. Once the analysis is complete, you receive a clear written report in your email inbox without delay. The report tells you which structures asbestos was found in and which materials are free of it. That leaves you holding a document you can use to plan and carry out the renovation or demolition safely in Kerava.

An AsbestiPro asbestos survey in Kerava costs a fixed 199 € incl. VAT, and no surprise invoices follow. The price covers the surveyor's visit to the property, all the samples required, the laboratory analysis at OneLab, the mileage allowance, VAT and the finished written report. A single clear all-in price makes budgeting straightforward for private individuals and housing companies alike across the Uusimaa region. If the job is a larger demolition project in which structures are torn out completely, 100 € is added to the price. If you only want to establish the asbestos content of one single material, you can order an asbestos sample that you collect yourself. That option costs 39,90 € plus VAT and includes the same high-quality laboratory analysis. Choose the service that suits your needs and make sure your property in Kerava is safe and ready to be renovated in the manner the law requires.
