Asbestos survey in Valkeakoski

Asbestos was used widely in Finnish construction from the 1920s all the way to 1992, and the complete ban only entered into force in 1994. In practice, almost every building in Valkeakoski completed before 1994 may contain asbestos — in floor tiles, waterproofing membranes, pipe insulation, fixing mortars or facade panels, for example. Finnish Government Decree 798/2015 requires an asbestos survey to be commissioned before demolition or repair work carried out on a property built before 1994. The obligation is statutory and there is no departing from it. If you are planning a bathroom renovation, a new kitchen or the demolition of a building in Valkeakoski, the survey must be carried out before the work begins. That way you protect the health of workers and residents alike, and you make sure the work is done in accordance with the legislation.

The process has been designed to be as smooth as possible for the customer in Valkeakoski. Once you have placed your order, we agree on a suitable time, and a competent, experienced surveyor arrives at the property anywhere in the Pirkanmaa region. During the visit he inspects the structures due to be renovated or demolished and takes the necessary samples from those materials in which asbestos may be suspected. The samples are delivered to the OneLab laboratory, where they are analysed with a precise JEOL SEM-EDS electron microscope in accordance with the international ISO 22262-1 standard. This analysis identifies asbestos fibres reliably, even in small concentrations. Once the analysis is complete, you receive a clear written report in your email inbox without delay. The report shows which materials asbestos was found in and how the work should be carried out safely from here on. The report serves as the documentation your demolition or renovation contractor needs in order to plan the job.

An AsbestiPro asbestos survey in Valkeakoski costs a fixed 219 euros incl. VAT, and no surprises follow afterwards. The price covers the surveyor's visit to the property, all the samples required, the laboratory analysis at OneLab, the mileage allowances within the Pirkanmaa region, VAT and the finished written report. You therefore get a comprehensive service for one clear price. If the job is a demolition site with more to survey than usual, 100 euros is added to the price. If you want to save money and handle the sampling yourself, you can order an asbestos sample kit for 39,90 euros plus VAT. In that case you take the sample yourself according to the instructions and send it to the laboratory for analysis. For most households and housing companies in Valkeakoski, however, the full-service survey is the easiest and most reliable option, because a qualified professional takes care of the entire process on your behalf.
