Asbestos survey in Inkoo

An asbestos survey is necessary for all properties in Inkoo that were built or refurbished before 1994. Asbestos was widely used in Finnish construction from the 1920s right up until 1992, so older detached houses, terraced houses and farm buildings in Inkoo in particular may contain asbestos, for example in floor tiles, pipe insulation, roofing and tile adhesive. Finnish Government Decree 798/2015 requires an asbestos survey before demolition or renovation work begins if a building may contain asbestos. The survey is not a mere formality — it protects the health of workers and residents by preventing hazardous asbestos fibres from being released into the air during renovation. A professional survey establishes precisely where the asbestos is and how it can be safely removed.

An asbestos survey in Inkoo runs smoothly and without unnecessary bureaucracy. At the agreed time, a qualified and experienced surveyor arrives at your property, systematically examines the building, and takes the necessary material samples from points where asbestos may be suspected. The samples are sent to the OneLab laboratory, where they are analysed with a precise JEOL SEM-EDS electron microscope in accordance with the international ISO 22262-1 standard. This precise analysis reliably detects even low concentrations of asbestos fibres that less sensitive techniques might miss. Once the analysis is complete, you receive a clear written report by email quickly. The report states where asbestos was found and serves as an official document for planning the renovation or demolition. Inkoo's distance is no obstacle, since the service covers the whole area and travel costs are included in the price.

AsbestiPro's asbestos survey in Inkoo costs a fixed 239 euros incl. VAT, so there are no surprises. The price covers everything essential: the surveyor's visit to the property, all necessary material samples, analysis at the OneLab laboratory, travel costs to Inkoo, VAT, and the written report. So you don't pay separately for travel or the number of samples. If it's a full-building demolition site, where more samples than usual are taken, 100 euros is added to the price for the more extensive survey. If you'd like to save money and have just a single suspect material, you can also take the asbestos sample yourself and send it for analysis for 39,90 euros plus VAT. This lets residents of Inkoo choose whichever option best and most affordably suits their needs.
