Asbestos survey in Raasepori

Asbestos was widely used in Finnish construction from the 1920s right up until 1992, and the ban came into force in 1994. This means that virtually every building in Raasepori completed before 1994 may contain asbestos, for example in floor tiles, waterproofing membranes, pipe insulation, tile adhesive or facade panels. The old coastal building stock of western Uusimaa is a good example of this. Finnish Government Decree 798/2015 requires an asbestos survey before demolition or renovation work on a building from this era. The survey is not an optional recommendation but a legal requirement that protects both workers and residents from exposure. When you're planning a bathroom renovation, a kitchen refit or a larger-scale refurbishment, it's worth booking the survey well ahead of the start of work.

The process is designed to be smooth and effortless. After you order, our qualified and experienced surveyor arranges a visit time and comes to your property in Raasepori. During the visit, they survey the building's risk structures, document their findings, and take the necessary material samples from the components where asbestos may be suspected. The samples are sent to the OneLab laboratory, where they are analysed using a precise JEOL SEM-EDS electron microscope in accordance with the international ISO 22262-1 standard. This reliably identifies even low concentrations of asbestos fibres. Once the analysis is complete, you receive a written report by email quickly. The report clearly states which samples did and did not contain asbestos, so the renovation or demolition can be planned correctly and safely. The whole chain, from the visit to the report, is handled under a single order.

AsbestiPro's pricing is clear and transparent: an asbestos survey in Raasepori costs a fixed 239 € incl. VAT. The price includes everything needed: the surveyor's visit to the property, all samples taken, laboratory analysis at OneLab, travel costs, VAT, and the finished written report. You don't need to brace for surprise charges based on the number of samples or travel costs. For demolition sites, where a building is being fully or extensively demolished, 100 € is added to the price, because sampling is then more extensive and labour-intensive. If you'd like to check the asbestos content of a single material yourself, we offer an alternative: asbestos sample analysis for 39,90 € + VAT, where you take the sample according to our instructions and send it to the laboratory. This way you can find the most suitable and cost-effective way to confirm whether asbestos is present at your property.
